Passionate about creating products that make a difference for users and businesses alike. Must possess strong product instincts, excellent communication skills, are technically fluent and have a good understanding of common product design patterns. Enjoy working collaboratively with designers and engineers on small co-located teams. Passionate about your craft, and enjoy helping others develop as PMs. Comfortable with ambiguity and moving forward with imperfect information You excel at leading without authority, effectively aligning team members as well as client stakeholders and executives around a shared set of objectives to progress the goal of shipping the right product to the client’s customers. Required Skills / Experiences

  • Experience with two of the following: lean startup methodologies, agile development methodologies, working directly with clients

  • Experience shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs

  • Experience articulating and testing product hypotheses

  • Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria

  • Deep user empathy and strong user experience sensibilities

  • Experience closely collaborating with engineers and designers as part of small co-located teams

  • Demonstrated ability to get things done in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt your communication style for the audience

  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in different contexts

  • Interest in coaching others

  • Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context

  • Ability to quickly understand a specific client domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space

Desired Skills / Experiences

  • Experience with both lean startup methodologies and agile development methodologies

  • Experience working directly with clients and leading projects

  • Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones

  • Experience leading or supporting user research

  • Experience mentoring other PMs a plus

  • Experience working with or inside enterprise scale organizations a plus

User Experience

Must enjoy and possess the ability to make daily product decision making and real product delivery with product managers, developers and data scientists. Help ensure project/product success and client satisfaction. Able to work successfully in collaborative teams, pairing with team members and inviting your clients to participate. Must work alongside and learn from lean and agile leaders. Must be a creative problem solver who is comfortable with uncertainty and can lead the design effort to make better product decisions. You are curious and a keen learner who thrives on enhancing your and Labs' practices and knowledge.

Must be able to do it all—from research, concept, interaction design, user-testing, lean strategy, visual design, and development support. Must have ability to listen and empathize with the users, share this knowledge, test a hypothesis, build prototypes, make it pretty, and support developers and the team. Must actively contribute to a continuous learning culture, and iterating on and improving our process.

Required Skills / Experiences

  • 5+ years of experience in related field. Degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Have experience designing applications, from consumer facing to internal tools

  • Lead product design from research through implementation - you want to help the team succeed more than making a nice sketch file

  • Maintain a user-centered approach while respecting business needs

  • Be willing to work in an agile design environment, rather than a waterfall one

  • Bring deep experience in at least one facet of the 3 facets of design: user research, interaction design or visual design

  • Have experience and curiosity within agile and lean philosophies

  • Have experience working independently with clients or stakeholders in a consulting role

  • Some familiarity with CSS

  • Have experience enabling clients in user centered design best practices

  • Experienced in user research methodologies and can educate others

  • Interest in giving talks on design to clients and internal team

  • Able to help the development team with CSS

  • Active member of the design community
