DXC Technology M&A Project Manager (Remote possible) in McLean, Virginia
Manages M&A integration and divestiture projects of varying scale for the Corporate Services organization, encompassing Real Estate & Facilities, Security, EH&S, Business Resilience, Travel, Corporate Card, and other internal functions. Performs project planning, tracking, and oversight of activities spanning multiple functions and geographies to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Supports the M&A PMO to refine and implement the global governance model, develop and maintain playbooks, and provide management reporting.
Essential Job Functions
Creates and implements project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for medium to large sized projects of moderate complexity.
Identifies appropriate resources and staff for projects. Organizes project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives. Acts as the point of contact with M&A project management team.
Manages costs, schedules and quality by overseeing project deliverables. Ensures schedule and budget are met. Identifies need for changes and revises within established guidelines and policies as appropriate.
Performs ongoing review of project status; identifies project risks. Develops, recommends and implements risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
Interfaces with team members and stakeholders to anticipate and manage changes to projects such as but not limited to, technical requirements, business requirements and schedule. Determines when additional resources are needed and implements same.
Recommends and implements changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics.
Oversees the work of matrix team members for project assignments. Assigns work and provides direction with regards to timeliness and completion of project objectives.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field.
7+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, business analysis, or similar business functional area.
Practical experience with Sharepoint
Practical experience with MS Office and Excel pivot tables
Understanding of project management practices including budget development, project planning, control, and operational finance concepts
Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
Experience in M&A and/or project management supporting internal corporate service functions
