DXC Technology Principal Executive Compensation Consultant in McLean, Virginia

Job Description:

The Principal Executive Compensation Consultant will play a key role in ensuring that the company’s executive compensation programs are market competitive, appropriate to the needs of the business, and are compliant with appropriate regulatory and other requirements.

  • Lead executive new hire offer and executive promotion process, including market data analysis, compensation and LTI grant recommendations, and preparation of compensation summary (“term sheet”) for CHRO and/or CEO approval; requires strong partnership with regional Total Rewards leads, Executive Recruiting, and HR Business Partners

  • Lead monthly LTI consent process, including reviewing and validating requests for off-cycle equity awards (e.g., new hire and promotional grants, recognition awards, retention awards, etc.) and preparing governance documents for CEO approval

  • Lead annual LTI planning process:Project management of annual LTI planning process, including pre-planning data collection and validation, tool set-up, communication and training, review and validation of grant recommendations, prepare budget and distribution analysis for CEO review, prepare governance documents for CEO approval

  • Support preparation of Compensation Committee meeting materials: Provide complex modeling and analyses, develop presentations on a variety of executive compensation topics

  • Support preparation of Annual Proxy Statement: Determine Named Executive Officers, closely partner with Stock Plan Administration, Benefits Accounting, and Legal to prepare CD&A tables, manage and document data to support all CD&A narrative and tables

  • Administer Executive Stock Ownership Guidelines and Financial Insider Pre-Clearance Process: Monitor and report on ownership compliance, maintain financial insider list, work closely with Stock Plan Administration to manage pre-clearance approval process

  • Manage Deferred Compensation Plan:Coordinate with third party administrator to manage DCP, determine eligible employees, develop annual enrollment process and communications, determine Specified Employees per IRC 409A

  • Ad hoc Projects:Participate in executive compensation surveys, prepare LTI termination summaries, respond to executive compensation inquiries from TR leads and HRBPs, provide legal and audit support, stay abreast of regulatory changes and proxy advisor firm guidance which impact executive compensation, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree in Business or Finance preferred

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in compensation, with at least 4 years in executive compensation

  • Technical executive compensation knowledge; well-versed in IRS and SEC regulations pertaining to executive compensation; knowledgeable about proxy advisor firm guidance and implications for executive compensation programs

  • Experience with preparing Annual Proxy Statement, including in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CD&A tables

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
