The Operations Engineering & Excellence is an organization within DXC that provides application development and deep-level support in ITIL areas. We also provide consulting and project engagements, and are now expanding our capabilities in the area of digital transformation to advise and support our clients in their digitalization journeys with the latest technologies.
About the Job:
We’re looking for a DevOps engineer, with a specific focus in Configuration Management Systems, who will take a key role on our team. A successful candidate must have knowledge in all stages of software support, software configuration, and be familiar with Agile and Scrum development methods.
You’ll be working alongside other engineers and developers within an assigned Scrum team, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our Bionix initiative developing new and innovative technologies for both independent implementation, as well as centralized enablement through our future platform service.
DevOps Engineer Skills and Expertise :
1-3+ years of experience with rapid application development, including the use of RESTful APIs.
1-3+ years of experience with application support and configuration.
Collaborate in a global team environment on application design and feature enhancements.
Maintain code integrity and organization using GIT/GitHub.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
Experience in Configuration Management tools such as: ServiceNow, Micro Focus UCMDB, Micro Focus Universal Discovery
Understanding of server-side languages including such as Jade, EJS, Jinja, NodeJS.
Other Experiences which are a plus :
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment methodologies like Jenkins build and test with Pipeline
Experience with Hubot, and other Chatbot technologies
Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good presentation skills to communicate product knowledge with customers and management
Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
