DXC Technology Azure Product Build Engineer in Plano, Texas
DXC is expanding its Azure solution portfolio and developing offerings that accelerate the digital transformation of our clients. We are looking for Azure engineers to come join us as we develop advanced managed hybrid cloud offerings. You will provide architectural and design input to the larger team and help our Product Management understand the benefits and risks of proposed technical solutions. You will work hands-on as a member of the Azure build engineering team and be responsible for the development, implementation and enhancement of the technical features that define the standard managed Azure offerings. You will become an expert in the integration of Azure monitoring and management capabilities with ServiceNow and other elements of DXC’s Bionix program. In this role, you will get unique opportunities to interact with Microsoft and other solution partners to improve their components of the overall DXC managed Azure solution. You are at the beating technical heart of the DXC Azure business. You make our technical capabilities come to life.
The managed services solutions you build could encompass the Azure Public Cloud, the Microsoft Azure Stack and Hybrid IT solutions that require integration with other public clouds and on-premises legacy environments. You will be building advanced, standardized capabilities that are broadly applicable to all DXC clients. Because the integration of an Azure environment with a client’s datacenter environment is a complex undertaking, you will support DXC pre-sales and OD&T (onboarding) teams as required to help them tailor your general solution(s) to the unique requirements of each DXC client and incorporate these learnings back into the standard product. You will also perform “design to delivery” tasks to ensure that our colleagues in the DXC Azure Cloud Operations team can successfully implement and operate the solutions you have built. These “design to delivery” tasks may be continuous delivery automation, offering documentation and/or internal training sessions.
We are not only looking for people who have a background in infrastructure engineering. Much of Azure consists of Platform as a Service capabilities. If you have a background in modern application development i.e. containers, serverless functions, SQL and/or NO-SQL databases, application performance management, web application design, continuous delivery and continuous integration, we have a place on our team for you too.
Previous experience with the development and/or deployment of public or private cloud environments and their supporting infrastructure.
Previous experience with the design, deployment and/or support of datacenter networking devices and services to include both LAN and WAN services and software-defined networking technologies.

Proficiency with the design, management and operation of large-scale, federated Active Directory environments.
Familiar with ServiceNow capabilities and components and their integration to Azure and OMS
Familiar with back-office billing and cost recovery mechanisms (CloudCheckr preferred)

A “don’t quit” mindset when troubleshooting problems, be they technical or commercial
The initiative to anticipate problems and the confidence to proactively act to mitigate them
The judgement to make wise tradeoffs between schedule, functionality, quality and cost.
Pride of Ownership - a desire to improve the user experience and product offering over time
The tact and influencing skills required to work effectively across the multiple organizations, geographies, sales teams, engineering teams and operations teams that build, sell and deliver the DXC managed Azure service
