DXC Technology Remote IT Continuity Consultant in Plano, Texas

JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead successful Transition of IT and business continuity service delivery for new DXC outsourcing clients, managing to scope and timeline in support of overall Transition PM, and in collaboration with other tower peers.

Based upon Transition approach being used, Assesses and/or Develops Continuity Management Program (CPM) for client based upon Continuity Services CPM service delivery standards. Successfully hands off to ongoing delivery personnel who will manage the continuity program.

As initial Continuity customer contact, establishes strong working relationship with client and manages expectations.

Also may be assigned Continuity consulting projects to deliver against. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully delivers continuity projects. Thisentailsproviding quality deliverables, client satisfaction,meeting the definedtimelines,managing to scope and within the projectedcosts.

  • Understand IT and Business Continuity contract requirement. Manages scope or drives change requests as appropriate.

  • Able to effectivelyassessexisting client IT Continuity Plans, Solutions and program. Able to effectivelyworkwithdistributed technical team to developnew IT Continuity plans andprocedures. Able to developeffectiveDeclaration,Activation and otherprocessesso that theyintegrate into ITIL-baseddeliverymodel.

  • Supports practice developmentinitiativeswith procedure, product and servicesenhancements, including contribution to DXC's Intellectual Property.

  • Maintain and developknowledge on newprocesses and technologieswithin the business

continuity profession.

  • Shapes and influences client attitudes to outcomes and keybenefits for both the client and

DXC.

SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 yearsexperience in IT and Business Continuity planning and programmanagement. .

  • Conceptual skills: able to performin-depthanalysis,recognizesproblems, opportunities or underlyingpatterns and relationships. Is able to analyzerequirements and translate them into priorities and action plans.

  • Previousexperience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong organizational and

project management skills. Experience in overseeing sub-contractors and/or multi-person teams.

  • The ability to confidently present to external customers and internally at DXC. Experience in

working with LoB managers, CxOs, and Risk Management.

  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skillswith the ability to listen and understand client needs.

  • CertifiedBusinessContinuityProfessionaldesignation through DRIInternational or BCI.

  • Strongsales,interpersonal & customer relationshipskills.

  • Strongleadershipskills,resourcefulness and initiative.

  • Teamplayer: ability and willingness to motivate and support otherteam and peer consultants.

Broad technology familiarity (AWS, Azure, HP-UX, OpenVMS, NT, O/S, networking, high availability, disaster tolerant and disaster recovery concepts
