Position Overview: Under general supervision, organizes and conducts moderately complex training and educational programs for information systems or user personnel. Maintains records of training activities, employee progress and program effectiveness.

Will specifically develop training materials for a large project implementation for the Kansas Medicaid program. The Training coordinator will work with the technical and business teams to pull together applicable training materials/processes for a hands on experience that will allow end users to complete their work efficiently once the new system is implemented. These training sessions will require an articulate person that demonstrates confidence and the ability to interact and present materials in an engaging and professional manner.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum six years of experience in training or teaching

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experienced at performing needs analysis

  • Professional, confident person with previous presentation skills

  • Development of written training materials for online/instructional design modules

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experienced at outlining, writing, and delivering training

  • Comfortable with facilitating stakeholder meetings at all organizational levels

  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills

  • Engaging and energetic personality that can easily interact with training participants

  • Demonstrates the flexibility to work on a high paced project, with definitive deadlines

  • Ability to work outside core business hours if needed to meet project timelines

Preferred:

  • Medicaid/Health Insurance experience

  • Delivers effective training through asynchronous, online methods

  • Able to create moderately complex CBTs in Adobe Captivate

  • Experience working in a project setting
